GardenShare Seeks a Development Director
GardenShare seeks a Development Director to increase funding for service expansion of our nonprofit agency. Responsibilities will include expanding the organization’s foundation support, major donor gifts, annual giving, and project sponsorships, as well as coordinating special donor cultivation and fundraising events. Duties will also include developing and executing a plan to enlarge the organization’s support base in the region and to ensure long-term sustainability, all in direct consultation and cooperation with the Executive Director.
The position requires a self-motivated team player with strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, as well as previous experience in nonprofit fundraising. Must posses a degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience. A basic understanding of current food security issues is helpful. Position has a salary of $32, 000 plus benefits for full time work. The right candidate may request three-quarter time with a corresponding pay adjustment.
GardenShare is a nonprofit community organization working to end hunger and strengthen food security in northern New York State.
